Southern Alberta Springs

From 2008 to 2012, an interdisciplinary, international team conducted inventories of 56 springs in Southern Alberta. These surveys included Level 2 physical, biological, and cultural aspects of the springs as well as the Springs Ecosystem Assessment Protocol (SEAP). Participants included researchers from the University of Lethbridge and Northern Arizona University.
This project, funded by the Imperial Oil Foundation, is designed to improve stewardship and understanding of the Province's groundwater resources.
