Springs — where groundwater reaches the Earth’s surface—are among the most important and highly threatened ecosystems in the world. In spite of their critical ecological roles and cultural values, springs have been poorly studied and inadequately protected.

The Springs Stewardship Institute needs your help to advance understanding and stewardship of springs ecosystems. Through research, collaboration, and education, we ensure and enhance the sustainability of springs ecosystems.
