The Springs Stewardship Institute has developed a new application for phones and tablets that citizen scientists can use to help inventory springs. This effort is focused on the 4FRI project area. During this free one-day workshop we will introduce participants to springs ecosystems, demonstrate the use of the application, and practice entering survey data at a local spring. We are using Collector for ArcGIS. Participants will need to download the app on their phone or tablet. (Use of the application requires IOS 8 on iPhone or iPad, Android 4.0, or Windows 10.) Participants must register in advance, and space is limited. Sign up here.
We welcome you to take part in this effort to collect information about springs, and how they respond to the 4FRI treatment. More information about this project is available here. Bring a pack lunch and your phone or tablet. We will meet at the Powell building at the Museum of Northern Arizona. We will send directions once you sign up. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions.
