Online Access to Groundwater-Dependent Ecosystem (GDE) Data

This webinar will be of interest to Forest Service specialists interested in inventory of the ecology and condition of Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems. The Springs Stewardship Institute (SSI) has developed Springs Online - a secure online database (springsdata.org) that contains information about over 140,000 springs in the western US. With over 600 users from agencies, Tribes, NGOs, academic institutions, and researchers. Springs Online currently archives Forest Service GDE data. This collaborative database provides a user-friendly interface with powerful tools to support landscape-wide analysis of site distribution and condition. During this webinar, the Springs Stewardship Institute will provide an update about new functionality and reporting enhancements, including on-demand export of a geodatabase that includes related tables and metadata. We will also provide an overview about our expansion to accept data collected using a variety of inventory protocols, including the Forest Service GDE Level 1 Field Guide.
